FERMIGNANO (16/11/2010) - The Democratic Party of Fermoy is the showdown. Last night was held the general meeting of members of the party, which was also attended by provincial secretary Marco Marchetti, to decide the path to follow for choosing the candidate for mayor in local elections next spring. Two lines: party primaries and then present a single candidate of the allies at the table with "The Bridge", "Left to Fermoy" (Sel, IDV and Verdi) and revised or internal consultations to avoid losing further ground to a mayor, Giorgio Cancellieri, much appreciated by the citizens. The municipal coordinator Matthew Bastianelli, failed to find the target figures right between the local business community, had launched his candidacy. A downward spiral which is not liked by the party nor the provincial federation and so checked out the name of Emanuel Feduzzi. But, you know, the Democratic Party considers the provincial primary as a last resort rather than as an opportunity, as they can create divisions and leave even after the aftermath, during the election proper. neither of the two names, however, has managed to achieve a synthesis, "maybe because - whispers of a democrat Fermignano - both are weak compared to the mayor Clerks' and while the allies are watching. Each of the three political formations seems, in fact, determined to advance his own candidacy and the Democratic Party, taken from balances, may lose ground: "Surely - explained by the secretariat - if we had already found a synthesis between us, even the candidate's speech with the Allies would already be closed. " The situation is muddled and there are also those who hoped to be the same provincial secretary of state for the Democrats to Fermoy the candidate of choice.
